2 drivers and 2 passengers injured in head-on crash in Niagara Falls

Four people were sent to hospital with various injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Niagara Falls on Saturday afternoon.
Police say the collision happened shortly after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Kalar Road and Montrose Road.
Niagara Regional Police officers responded to the scene, where investigators say a man driving a gray Chevrolet Equinox northbound on Kalar Road collided head-on with a southbound moving white Jeep Compass driven by a woman, who also had two passengers.
Both drivers were transported to hospitals outside the region. Police said the man remains in critical condition, while the woman is in stable condition. The two passengers, identified by police as women aged 63 and 64, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a local hospital.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
