Upon arrival, police found two men with gunshot wounds. One of the victims was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The other victim was taken to an out-of-region hospital, where he remains in critical condition, police say.

Officials have not provided additional information on the victims including their ages and places of residence.

The investigation is still in its early stages, with Homicide Detectives and the Forensic Services Unit on scene. At this time, authorities believe this was a targeted attack.

He was wearing an ECKO brand hooded jacket with logos and patches on the chest, a winter toque, blue jeans, dark running shoes with white soles and trim.
