Stolen puppy in Thorold.

UPDATE: Niagara Regional Police have safely located the 3-month-old pit-bull puppy named Mamba. Further investigation into the incident has also determined that this was not a break-and-enter. Police continue to investigate this matter.

A family in Thorold is missing their 3-month-old puppy after the dog was stolen from their home on July 28.

Niagara Regional Police responded to a house in the area of Port Robinson Rd. and Kottmeier Rd. after receiving a call about a break and enter.

Officers determined that an unknown suspect broke into the home on July 28 between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. and stole the 3-month-old male, pit-bull puppy named Mamba. The dog’s pink collar and black leash were also missing.

Police say the puppy was home alone at the time of the break-in.

Mamba is described as being predominantly black with white markings under his chin, on his chest, and on his paws.

Residents and businesses in the area are asked to review their security camera, doorbell video camera, or dash camera footage between the time of 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on July 28, 2022 and report any suspicious activity to police.

The public is asked to be on the look out for Mamba (see photo).  Anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to contact the investigating officer by calling 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009700 or by email [email protected]
