3 suspects wanted in smash-and-grab jewelry heist in St Catharines

Niagara Regional Police are looking for three suspects linked to a smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store inside a shopping mall in St. Catharine's.

Niagara Regional Police are looking for three suspects linked to a smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store inside a shopping mall in St. Catharines.

Police say the incident happened on Friday (June 28)  at Niagara Pen Centre on Glendale Avenue shortly before 7 p.m.

Police say three men reportedly went into Kavar Jewellers brandishing a gun and began smashing display cases and taking the items inside. The suspects then fled with an unknown amount of cash.

Luckily, no one inside the store was injured, police confirm.

According to investigators, the suspects left through the mall’s rear entrance in a stolen grey Honda CRV with Ontario license plate AVAZ 426.

As of now, there are no surveillance images of the suspects; however, officials have gathered physical descriptions.

Suspect #1: He is approximately 20 years old and has a dark complexion.

Suspect #2: He is Black, approximately 20 years old, and has a heavy build.

Suspect #3: He is Black and around 20 years old.

No specific clothing descriptions have been provided; however, officers indicate that all three suspects were wearing black gloves and medical masks.
