While 22 new COVID-19 cases in Niagara Region today (September 15) certainly isn’t cause for cheer, on the positive side, there were also 37 resolved cases, dropping the active case-file in the region to 292.
Yesterday, there were 310 – the first time since early June Niagara has seen that many.
However, another person has been hospitalized, totalling 13 people with four being treated in the ICU.
Of those 13 hospitalizations, 12 are unvaccinated.
Niagara Health says 95.5 per cent of the cases in the region are or are likely to be the Delta variant.
Niagara Falls continues to be on top of the 12 municipalities with 93 cases while St Catharines has 78.
