Arrest warrant issued for Niagara man accused of assault and weapon possession

Niagara Regional Police issued an arrest warrant Wednesday for a 23-year-old Welland man.
Paul Rodney Junior Witter is wanted in connection with a stabbing.
He’s facing charges of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Witter is described as a six-foot-tall Black man, weighing 165-pounds with a medium build.
He has a black moustache and goatee, brown eyes, and a scar near his left eye.
Police say Witter lives in Welland but has ties to the Greater Toronto Area.
“Witter’s current location is unknown,” according to Niagara Police. “It is believed he is taking steps to evade police and maybe being assisted by persons known to him.”
“Members of the public who may see Witter or know his location are asked not to confront him and to contact the police.”
