“Avoid the area:” Heavy police presence reported in Niagara Falls

Police are asking people to avoid an intersection that’s close to the tourist district in Niagara Falls.
Shortly after 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Niagara police said officers are currently in the Stanley Avenue and North Street area for an investigation.

There is a heavy police presence in the area and officers are asking people to avoid the intersection.
Details of the investigation were not immediately shared by police.

Police said the “matter has been resolved without incident” and that one person is in custody.
