Two of Canada’s best-known musicians, Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings, decided to tour together, starting June 11, 2020.

Music fans who have been paying attention to, well, everything can probably guess what happened next. Yes, it was cancelled like everything else in 2020.

The 19th of 24 stops across Canada and the northern US of the “Together Again Tour” was the Meridian Centre in St Catharines, originally slated for July 21, 2020.

Yesterday, the Meridian Centre posted that the show was back on.

“Bachman and Cummings fans!  We are so excited to announce a new date has been set for our show.  See them live at the Meridian Centre July 23, 2022. Tickets for the new date available today. Previously purchased tickets will be honoured for this show,” said the arena-entertainment centre.

Back in the late-1960s and early-1970s, the pair’s original band, The Guess Who, was one of the biggest rock acts going with record sales that rivaled The Beatles. Among their hits were: American Woman, These Eyes, No Sugar Tonight and Share The Land.

The band eventually broke up and both musicians embarked on new ventures – Cummings as a solo act while Bachman founded Bachman Turner Overdrive.

Meridian Centre announced there were still tickets available for the rescheduled show. Contact http://meridiancentre.com for information.
