Police say shots were fired at a St. Catharines home where a car was also found aflame.

Niagara police say that in the early morning hours of Sept. 4, officers were called to the Senator Drive and Sterling Street area to respond to reports of a fire.

Police say that when officers arrived, they found a vehicle on fire at a home in the area. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported in connection with the blaze.

Police say that on Oct. 1, further information revealed there had been a gun shell located at the same residence. Further investigation led to the discovery of gunshot holes in the front of the house, police say.

Anyone who lives in the Mac Turnbull Drive and Senator Drive area who has video surveillance or anyone who may have dash cam footage from the area between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Sept. 4 is asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009381.
