One of the country’s most popular TV shows ever – Canada’s Got Talent – is returning to the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino-Resort in Niagara Falls next month.

While auditions for the show were held back in May and June, the filming of the opening rounds is slated from Oct. 24 to 30 with two shows daily, one at 1 p.m., the second at 5:45 p.m.

However, the biggest story of the night was the launch of this coming season, which will see the grand prize jump from $150,000 to a cool $1 million for the winner.

“The fact that Rogers is giving us an opportunity for another season, with the biggest cash prize in Canadian television history, not only promises that it will be bigger and better but that we are now putting Canada’s Got Talent on the world stage,” said Judge Howie Mandel.

The TV show reached close to 8 million Canadians from the premier to the finals last season, making it City-TV’s most-viewed original series in over a decade.

Celebrity judges Mandel, Lilly Singh, Trish Stratus, Kardinal Offishall and host Lindsay Ell are all returning for the third season.

Dancers, singers, illusionists, comedians, and every imaginable talent in between will compete before a panel of celebrity judges, a live studio audience, and the entire nation. “With compelling stories and mesmerizing performances, this competition is unlike any other,” says producers.

On a local level, Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati has given two of the show’s judges – Mandel and Stratus – the Key to the City over the past two seasons.

Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance. Check HERE if you want to be in the audience.
