A collision Sunday night (Sept. 15) on the QEW in St. Catharines that caused a vehicle to roll over multiple times after hitting a construction truck has led to charges for the driver of the vehicle.

Burlington OPP say a car driving eastbound on the QEW at Martindale Avenue around 8:05 p.m. ran into a construction truck attempting to block lanes causing the car to roll over multiple times.

“Several crash trucks and workers on foot at the time (of the collision),” said Burlington OPP.

“#Slow down in construction zones, please,” added Burlington OPP in a tweet on the social media platform X.

Both the driver of the car and the driver of the construction vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The OPP says the driver of the vehicle has been charged with careless driving.
