The Dairy Queen in Niagara Falls, shown here, will soon see another outlet open over in Fort Erie.

Dairy Queen now has a location at 450 Garrison Rd in Fort Erie listed as “coming soon” on their website.

That location, the International Gateway Centre, is more commonly called the Sobeys Plaza by Fort Erie residents.

Not long ago, Realtor.ca has a vacant retail outlet on the market in the mall, offering it up for $17 a square foot.

Its description was “1,341 square foot unit available in the International Gateway Centre located at the intersection of Garrison Road and Concession Road. This community shopping centre is approximately 93,000 sq. ft. and is anchored by Sobeys, Shoppers Drug Mart, Bulk Barn, Dollarama, TD Bank and Meridian Credit Union.”

According to one resident, the new Dairy Queen is being built next to Ruffins in the plaza.

It’s not known when the Dairy Queen franchise will open as head office has yet to reveal the date.
