A 69-year-old man is dead after colliding with multiple guard-rails overnight on the QEW in Grimsby.
Members of the OPP Highway Safety Division responded to a portion of the QEW at Bartlett Ave. shortly after 1 a.m. this morning (Aug 14) after receiving multiple reports of a collision.
Witnesses say a vehicle was observed driving erratically before it collided initially with the guard-rail on the right side of the road and then came to a stop against the concrete guard on the left side of the road.
Police say two other vehicles were involved in secondary collisions as a result of the first incident.
The 69-year-old driver of the first vehicle was transported by Niagara paramedics to hospital but was later pronounced deceased.
