Finding parking isn’t always easy in one of Ontario’s busiest and most picturesque tourist areas, but paying for parking is about to get easier for Niagara-on-the-Lake residents.

Recently, the town announced that resident parking permits for 2025 are now available to people who live in the municipality.

According to the town, the passes cost $30 and are valid from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31 and must be re-purchased every year. Residents with a pass can take advantage of free parking at any paid parking area in the town for up to three hours (after that, payment is required).

Payment can be made at meters or online through Honk Mobile or ParkedIn apps.

The passes are connected to the driver’s license plate and are non-transferable.

On its website, the town reminds people that passes do not exempt drivers from parking rules and restrictions.
