Coffee drinkers who are fans of both autumn flavours and variety might be excited to hear that a popular cafe with locations in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Pelham is launching fall-themed coffee flights.

Recently, Common Ground, a cafe run by a mother-daughter duo, announced that bookings are open for autumn flights at both The Junction (located in NOTL’s St. Davids neighbourhood) and The Font (located in the Fonthill community).

A video shared to the company’s Instagram shows a typical wooden paddle typically used for wine and beer filled with four decadent coffees. The varieties served–marked down in chalk–include Chai, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, s’more and pumpkin pie.

“Fall coffee flights are a MUST this season,” a post on Common Ground’s social media reads.

“This is the perfect coffee date idea to enjoy with your bff or significant other. You have to try these fall themed flights- each one with an amazing different flavour.”

The flights must be booked in advance (walk-ins are not guaranteed flights) on Common Ground’s website and spots are selling quickly.

A flight costs $22 per person.

As for why tastings need to be booked, operators say the drinks can take some time to create.

“No, flights are never guaranteed for a walk in and we try to discourage it. These orders involve lots of time, staff, and planning and therefore we want everyone to book online in advance,” they wrote on social media.

Flights can be made with decaf espresso, and dairy-free milk alternatives can also be used.

Autumn flights are expected to remain available until at least November.
