UPDATE FOUND: Family and police concerned as vulnerable 71-year-old woman goes missing in St. Catharines

Police in St Catharines are asking for the public’s help locating a 71-year-old woman.
Niagara regional police posted a report early today (Oct. 15), indicating that 71-year-old Jane Buchanan has gone missing and was last seen at 5:45 am this morning near Fourth Avenue and First Street Louth in the St. Catharines area.
Officers believe Jane was traveling on foot, as there was no evidence of a vehicle at the time of her disappearance.
Jane is a white female described as having:
- A heavy build
- Grey hair
- An unstable walking pattern
- All grey outfit
Both the police and Jane’s family are concerned for her well-being.
Anyone with information surrounding Jane Buchanan’s location is being asked to contact Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) detectives or Crime Stoppers.
UPDATE: Shortly after the missing report was filed by NRPS, Jane was found and is reported to be safe.
