The Queen Victoria Weekend will be celebrating across Ontario but Niagara Falls has a little more reason to cheer.
Starting May 21, GO Trains will run daily round trips from Union Station to Niagara Falls on Saturdays, Sundays and holiday Mondays.
“GO Train Service between Niagara Falls and Toronto has been an incredible tool for visitors,” said Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati.
“Being able to zip down to Niagara Falls for a day trip or overnight and enjoy the sights, attractions, trails, dining and hospitality in Niagara Falls is an amazing way to explore all our region has to offer. Welcome back GO travelers!”
Ticket packages, including round-trip GO Train tickets, with the popular Niagara Falls WEGO hop-on, hop-off bus line that stops at Niagara Parks sites starting at Table Rock Centre, along with stops at hotels and other top attractions, are just $25 for adults.
Children accompanied by an adult will ride for free on the GO Train, and families can buy WEGO children’s tickets separately or save with a discounted group package.
Two adults and three children (or one adult and four kids) can travel together on both GO and WEGO for only $62.20.
“Seasonal GO Train service provides a convenient and affordable transportation option for GTA visitors to once again visit us at Niagara Parks this season,” said Niagara Parks Chair April Jeffs.
“We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Metrolinx to pair Niagara GO Train tickets with WEGO bus service to deliver a simple, integrated solution that will not only transport our guests to Niagara Falls, but also provide access to top attractions throughout the destination.”
