Grimsby man shot with a BB gun by unknown assailant

Police are on the hunt for an unknown man who shot another man with a pellet gun in Grimsby on Monday.
Niagara Regional Police were called to Main St E and Christie St on July 4 after reports of an assault. They found a man on scene suffering minor wounds from a BB gun.
Investigators discovered that the shot came from a white Mitsubishi Outlander. There is currently no known motive.
Detectives with 8 District were assigned the case. They found the Mitsubishi with help from officers in 1 District, which oversees St. Catharines and Thorold and seized the car.
Investigators got a warrant to search the SUV and have collected unspecified evidence, which they sent to Toronto for analysis. While awaiting the examination, detectives have appealed to the public for witnesses to the shooting.
They ask anyone in the area around 1 to 2 a.m. to come forward. Furthermore they request anyone with recording devices active at the time to review their footage.
