Motorists may wish to choose alternative routes in order to avoid an area of Niagara Falls where fire crews are trying to contain a blaze in home.
Multiple reports say that a house on Oakridge Drive was ablaze late Friday afternoon (Marchh 18). Niagara Falls firefighters reportedly had to shift to a defensive strategy, where the crew’s goal is to keep the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings.
The cause of a blaze is typically not known while it is still a working fire. But one news site said “hoarding conditions” were cited as a possible contributor.
Partial ceiling collapse on interior crew. They are OK but are reporting fire in the walls. Crews deciding whether to continue an interior attack or pull everyone out and go defensive only.
