Now that October is officially upon us, the spooky season has begun–and one Niagara-on-the-Lake winery is set to celebrate the occasion with a spooky walk and movie night.

Recently, Colanari Estate Winery, a palatial Italian-style winery in the town’s St. David’s community, announced that it’s hosting a Nightmare Before Halloween event on Saturday, Oct. 19.

On its website, the winery says attendees will “dive into the eerie darkness of the vineyard while recounting the creepy and maybe even sinister history of St David’s and the Colaneri Family.”

The evening will kick off with a “ghostly” stroll through the 40-acre vineyard, which surrounds the Romanesque 31,000-square-foot building that is shaped like a “C” in honour of the founding family’s name.

After the walk, guests can grab a glass of wine and sit down to enjoy a screening of the 1996 classic Scream.

“Bring a brave heart and your Halloween spirit as we commemorate the spookiest time of the year with a classic horror film and a hair-raising ghostly stroll through the vineyard… if you dare…,” the website reads.

Tickets cost $55 and all guests must be 19 or older to attend.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the walk begins at 8 p.m.
