Large collection of narcotics and firearms seized by authorities in Niagara Falls

Authorities in the City of Niagara Falls have recently seized a substantial collection of firearms and narcotics.

As indicated by a release posted today (Sept. 26), it was revealed that earlier this month, detectives from the 2 District (Niagara Falls / Niagara on the Lake) Street Crime Unit submitted a seized firearm for further investigation.

Throughout the process, detectives eventually identified a male suspect who the firearm belonged to.

As a result of the investigation, detectives — alongside officers from the NRPS Emergency Task Unit — executed two search warrants at a local storage locker in the City of Niagara Falls.

Detectives then located a collection of suspected illegal narcotics and firearms which included:

  • 2 firearms (one of which was loaded)
  • 32.2 grams of fentanyl (street value $2500)
  • 48.2 grams of cocaine (street value $4820)
  • 112.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine (street value $ 3400)
  • $1230 (Canadian) in currency.

The male suspect to who the storage locker belonged has now been charged with multiple offenses, which include, but are not limited to possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, possession for the purpose of trafficking crystal methamphetamine, possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and multiple firearms-related charges.

At the time of publication, the suspect is currently in police custody with a bail hearing set for later today.

Police are asking any individuals with further information surrounding the suspect and these charges to come forward.
