Julio De-Oliveira of Niagara Falls was pretty excited to let his kids know about his $300,000 win in the Instant Massive Money lottery.

The 68-year-old father made sure first what he was seeing was correct.

“I was checking my ticket at home, and I said, ‘Hold on, I think I got something here,” said De-Oliveira, who has been playing the lottery ever since winning $1,000 prize in 1976. “I double checked the OLG app and immediately sent a screenshot of the win to my children saying, ‘Look kids, I got something!’

“They responded, ‘Dad, how did you do that?’”

De-Oliveira says he plans to share the winnings with his family.

“Money is not everything to me, but I am very satisfied,” he said with a smile while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his cash prize.

De-Oliveira bought his winning ticket at Chippawa Variety on Main Street in Niagara Falls.
