A major road closure in Niagara Region will force many drivers to take alternate routes through Niagara Falls and Thorold.
The road that will be shut down is Thorold Townline Rd. between Brown Rd. and McLeod Rd.
Construction is the reason for the closure which will begin today (July 5) last until July 15. The work will include the installation of underground chambers and pipes.
Signs will be posted suggesting detour routes but mostly traffic will be diverted to Lundy’s Lane, Chippawa Creek Rd. and Garner Rd.
