Man charged in relation to Port Colborne stabbing incident

A-38-old man has been charged in connection with a stabbing that left an elderly man with serious injuries over the weekend (June 29).

Niagara Regional Police say, the incident occurred at a house on Kinnear St.,  and the suspect and victim(60) were known to each other.

They were involved in a heated argument after which the situation escalated.

Brandon Michael Taylor, a resident of Port Colborne has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

According to authorities, the victim continues to recover from his injuries and no further arrests are expected at this time.

Taylor is being held in custody for a video bail hearing at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines tomorrow (August 1).
