Police say a man who pulled his shirt up over his head, brandished a knife and demanded money from a gas station employee in Welland is still at large.
Niagara police say that around 9 p.m. on Sept. 23, officers were called to an Esso gas station on Ontario Road following an alleged attempted robbery.
Police allege that earlier that evening, a male suspect entered the gas station, pulled his shirt over his head (although a photo shows the shirt did not cover most of his face), took out a knife and demanded cash from the register. Police say the employee refused and the suspect left.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
Police are looking for a white male suspect with grey/black hair. He was last seen wearing a green shirt, grey slip-on shoes and carrying a yellow grocery bag.
