UPDATE: Missing 16-year-old last seen walking in Welland, Ontario

Niagara Parks Police are investigating after a man in a minor accident leapt into Niagara Gorge and had to be rescued.

UPDATE: Niagara Regional Police say they have located Tristan and he is safe. No further information was provided.


Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 16-year-old who was last seen walking in Welland, Ontario yesterday.

Niagara Regional Police say Tristan  was last seen in the area of Fifth Street and King Street at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Investigators describe Tristan as a white male, 5-foot-9, with a slim build and weight of  140 pounds. He has medium-length black hair and is believed to be wearing a green and black hoodie, black jeans and possibly black or forest green combat boots.

It remains unclear whether Tristan is travelling alone or accompanied by others.

The police and his family are concerned for his welfare.
