Missing 20 year-old who was visiting family in St Catharines and sent last text message on May 18 has been found

Police are no longer concerned for the well-being of a 20-year-old man who went missing after visiting family in St Catharines two weeks ago.

Daniel Ashukian has been located by police and is safe.

He was last seen on May 17, 2023, visiting family near Tremont Drive in St. Catharines.

Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) says Daniel’s family communicated with him by text message on May 18 and since then he has not been seen or heard from.

Police began searching for Daniel on May 31 and as a result of the investigation, believe he may have been or still may be in Niagara Falls.

Daniel also has ties to Thorold and Fort Erie.

As a means of travel, the 20-year-old is known to ride his white Trek road bike.

Daniel is described as having a white complexion with a height of five-foot-nine. He has short brown hair and weighs approximately 160 pounds.

Daniel normally wears running shoes, biking pants and a t-shirt.

The police and Daniel’s family are concerned for his welfare. Anyone who may have information as to his location are asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009367
