Missing 62-year-old Niagara Falls resident believed to have left the area on foot located safe

Family and police a concerned for the well-being of a 62-year-old man from Niagara Falls who left the area on foot last night and didn’t return home.

Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) is appealing to residents to come forward with any information that will help in safely locating  Rogiero “Roger” Madia.

Police say Roger was last seen on Friday (Jun. 2) at approximately 9:30p.m., in the area Portage Rd / Kitchener St in Niagara Falls.

Investigators believe Roger wandered off on foot.

According to police, Roger is described as white with a height of six-feet. He has a goatee and is balding.

The 62-year-old was last seen wearing a dark blue shirt, a baseball cap and blue jeans.

Anyone who may have information as to his location are asked to contact detectives at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1022200.

Members of the public who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or by calling 1-800-222-8477.  Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information which leads to an arrest.

UPDATE:

The 62-year-old man has been located and is safe. Police are thanking the public for their help in finding Roger.
