Multiple stunt driving charges laid in Niagara Region

Niagara Regional Police Service crack down on speeding drivers as two separate stunt driving incidents occur in the region.

Officers of 6 District were conducting speed enforcement in Port Colbourne last night (June 25) when they stopped a car on Westside Rd.

The vehicle was travelling at 110 km/h, more than double the posted speed limit of 50 km/h.

The driver was pulled over and charged for stunt driving.

Their vehicle was immediately impounded for 14 days, and they received a 30-day license suspension.

And today (June 26) in West Lincoln, officers of 8 District recorded a car travelling at 111 km/h on a posted 60 km/h road in the region.

The driver was subsequently pulled over and charged for stunt driving.

A tow truck came to pick up the vehicle as the speeding driver received a 14-day vehicle impoundment and 30-day license suspension.
