A bus service soon to launch in Canada will be offering select $4.99 fare runs between Toronto and Niagara Falls.
FlixBus officially launches in Canada on April 7 and some time slots for the Toronto-to-Niagara Falls run for under five bucks with a stop in St. Catharines.
It seems if you want an early morning run, the fare will be set at either $13.99 or $14.99. However, the early afternoon runs are that $4.99 price.
For example, both the 8:45 am and 2:30 pm runs on April 7 – the inaugural day – are $13.99. However, on April 8, both runs are $4.99.
On April 9, both are $13.99 but the following day, April 10 offers the early run for $14.99 but the 2:30 pm run at just $4.99. It seems to flip back-and-forth quickly so best to go to https://shop.flixbus.com/ to be certain.
Likewise, the return runs from Niagara Falls back to Toronto tend to have that $4.99 for the morning returns and higher priced rates for the late afternoon returns.
On a positive note, regardless of which price, it’s still cheaper than gas these days.
“Ontario is a dream bus market with some of North America’s most vibrant cities and we are immensely happy to begin building connections here.” said Pierre Gourdain, Managing Director of FlixBus North America in a release.
FlixBus, founded in Munich, is well-established sending intercity buses through Europe and now is adding North America and Brazil to their routes.
As well as Niagara Falls, they are also adding Toronto-Ottawa and Toronto-Waterloo routes.
The company said all the Toronto-Niagara Falls runs will have brand new buses with free Wifi and power outlets.
