Niagara Falls and Welland neighbourhoods reporting higher COVID-19 rates

Areas in Niagara Falls and Welland are among those with the highest COVID-19 percent positivity rates (percentage of positive COVID-19 tests in the area) in Ontario.
Toronto-based research group ICES listed postal code areas in Ontario with the highest percent positivity rates for the week of September 19 to 25.
Of the top 50 listed, two are in the Niagara region:
L2G at 5.01% (Niagara Falls)
26th highest positivity in Ontario
L3B at 4.91% (Welland)
30th highest positivity in Ontario
For the week of September 19, Niagara had the eighth highest COVID-19 positivity in Ontario at 3.00%, while the province overall ranked 13th at 2.07%.
Top 15 public health units by COVID-19 percent positivity
For all Ontario residents, the overall percent positivity among those tested for COVID-19 during the week of September 19 was 2.1%, down 0.5% from the previous week.
