Back in August, Niagara Police detectives with the Central Fraud Unit started investigating claims of fraud against the owner of Pasha’s Concrete Corporation, located on Victoria Avenue in Niagara Falls.

It seems the owner would allegedly set up contracts with local residents for concrete work. He would ask for deposits first but in the end, none of the residents ever saw the promised work done. Indeed, it was never started.

In the end, residents were allegedly defrauded out of $39,000.

Pasha’s Concrete owner Hakan Akgul, 32, of Niagara Falls has been charged with six counts of fraud under $5,000 and two counts of fraud over $5,000.
