Niagara Falls man busted on three counts of drug charges

A Niagara Falls man and Cambridge woman found themselves in hot water with the Niagara Police after a house was raided and drugs were seized.
The police just started investigating what they suspected might be drug trafficking in the Ferry Street and Clark Avenue area of Niagara Falls and by yesterday (April 4) had found their suspects.
After getting a search warrant for a house in that neighbourhood, police found and seized 15.2 grams of fentanyl, 54.5 grams of cocaine, and 64.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine – all with a combined street value of $8,700.
Orlando Dacosta, 42, of Niagara Falls was charged with three counts of drug possession for trafficking and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.
Jennifer Day, 39, of Cambridge was charged with failing to comply with an undertaking.
Dacosta was held for a bail hearing today in St. Catharines via video link.
Day was released from the scene on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the courthouse in St. Catharines on June 15.
