Niagara Falls man stabbed while walking his dog

A Niagara Falls man taking his dog for a walk got stabbed by another man following an argument on October 16.

Niagara Police said the 38-year-old victim was walking his dog in the Drummond Road and Taylor Street area at 6:30 pm when a man pulled up beside him.

Getting out of his car, the driver came onto the sidewalk and the pair began to argue.

The driver then stabbed the man, who was still able to break free and call out to nearby pedestrians and drivers to call the police. At that point, the driver took off on foot.

When the police arrived, they were quickly able to find the assailant.

Joshua D. Anderson, 44, of Niagara Falls has been charged with aggravated assault.

The victim was rushed to hospital with non life threatening injuries.
