Niagara Falls, Welland men charged in connection with commercial break-in

Niagara Police believe they have found the two suspects who broke into a Welland business during off hours on June 24 after hours and stole a number of industrial goods.

The police say the pair broke into the business on Kennedy St. near Ross St. at roughly 6:50 pm and ransacked the office and warehouse stealing industrial rubber, merchandise, metal, and tools.

On July 3, images of the suspects were released, along with an appeal asking members of the public for assistance identifying those involved.

On July 17, the police charged Gerry Sergio Pellizzari, 31, of Niagara Falls with committing break and enter, as well as failing to comply with a probation order.

On July 18, the police charged Stefan Vautour, 51, of Welland with committing break and enter

Both men were held in police custody pending a bail hearing with Vautour being released and set for an August 18 date at the Welland Courthouse

Pellizzari remains in the custody of Ontario Correctional Services.

The police “would like to thank members of the public who came forward with information that assisted in solving this investigation.”
