Niagara Police foot patrol catch break-and-enter man red-handed

A Niagara Falls man got caught red-handed by Niagara Police officer walking foot patrol after he broke into a local restaurant.

Yesterday (March 23) at roughly 6 am, the officers heard the sound of breaking glass at the building in the Queen Street and Chrysler Ave area of the city and went to investigate.

They happened upon the man leaving the restaurant through a broken window. He was caught with $690 worth of good from the restaurant on top of causing $2,000 worth of damage to the window.

Joshua Morningstar, 30, of Niagara Falls was charged with break and enter. He was held for a video bail hearing  at the courthouse in St. Catharines today.
