Niagara Police investigating vandalism to Welland fountain

The Niagara Police are looking into vandalism to a Welland park water fountain that happened at some point over a two-day span.
Police says at some point between the evening of June 18 and 8 am on June 20, a liquid substance was poured into the fountain at Merritt Park, causing anywhere between $3,000 to $5,000 in clean-up costs.
While it has not been substantiated, it is suspected it may have been motor oil.
