Niagara Police looking for info after woman hit by truck in Fort Erie

Niagara Police are looking for witnesses after a woman was struck by a truck in Fort Erie yesterday (August 30) morning.

The police, Niagara EMS and Fort Erie Fire Department were called to the scene at 7:30 am to the Niagara River Parkway and Netherby Road area of Fort Erie.

Once there, they discovered a 50-year-old woman pedestrian had been hit on the east shoulder of the road by a pick-up truck being driven by a 67-year-old man. 

She was quickly transported to an out-of-region hospital with life threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing by detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
