Back on August 4, a suspect robbed a St. Catharines restaurant at gunpoint and then pedaled away from the scene of the crime on a bicycle.
Two days ago (October 19), Niagara Police detectives arrested a St. Catharines man after identifying him. In the end, he wasn’t too hard to find. He was already in custody for a different crime.
Andrew James Windsor, 32, of St. Catharines was charged with robbery with a firearm, pointing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, failing to comply with probation and failing to comply with a release order.
This all dates back to the August 4 robbery of Fryin Guys Restaurant on Lake at Dufferin Street in St. Catharines. The robbery took place at about 2:20 pm and the suspect pedaled off in broad daylight. Niagara Police released a handful of photos of him at the time.
After being charged this time, Windsor remained in custody.
