Niagara Police seek info after truck hits pedestrian in Fort Erie

Niagara Police are trying to piece together information after a pick-up truck struck a pedestrian in Fort Erie yesterday (August 30) morning.

Police say at 7:30 am, they were called to the scene in the area of Niagara River Parkway and Netherby Road in Fort Erie. The Fort Erie Fire Department and Niagara EMS also arrived at the accident.

Once there, they discovered a black pick-up truck being driven by a 67-year-old man had hit a 50-year-old woman walking on the east shoulder of the road.

The woman was quickly sent to an out-of-region hospital with life-threatening injuries. 

The investigation remains ongoing by detectives with the Collision Reconstruction Unit.
