Niagara Region has the third worst COVID-19 positivity in Ontario

The region of Niagara currently has the third worst COVID-19 positivity in Ontario, higher than the province overall.

Toronto-based research group ICES ranked all 34 public health units in Ontario for the week of September 5 to 11 based on their percent positivity (percentage of positive tests in the area).

Niagara is listed third at 5.49%, while Ontario overall is listed 10th at 3.43%.

Top 15 public health units by COVID-19 percent positivity

For all Ontario residents, the overall percent positivity among those tested for COVID-19 during the week of September 5 was 3.4%, unchanged from the previous week.
