Niagara Police say a Nova Scotia man, who took a Fort Erie car salesperson for a bit of a ride earlier before stealing it, has been caught by the police in Sault Ste Marie.
On Wednesday (Feb. 23), police were called to the Patterson’s Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram dealership at 527 Garrison Road after a robbery.
It turned out the suspect wanted a test drive of a Chrysler Pacifica so a salesperson joined him. They returned to the dealership and the man indicated he was armed and demanded the salesperson get out. He then took off heading east on Garrison Road.
The police identified him as Juan Feliz Sanchez, 45, of Nova Scotia and send out word to other police forces that he was wanted for robbery.
This morning, the Sault Ste Marie Police found and arrested Sanchez. He was held in custody up there pending a bail hearing. Sanchez will now face the Niagara Police charge upon his return to Niagara.
