There was one more COVID-19 death in Niagara Region last night, pushing the fatality count in the region to 429 since March 2020.

Currently, there are nine patients in the region’s hospital – three in ICU – and none of them are vaccinated.

At this point, the region has administered 696,227 doses of vaccines to area residents.

The region currently sits at 75 per cent first shots and 69.6 per cent fully-vaxxed.

(Oddly, the province has Niagara’s total at 87 per cent one shot and 80 fully vaxxed.)

Currently, Niagara Health (the region’s hospital system) has administered 245,553 vaccinations to area residents while Niagara Region Public Health (responsible for non-hospital clinics) has given 240,989 shots.

Pharmacies, primary caregivers and out of region providers make up the balance.
