Over 3,000 homes affected by massive power outage in St. Catharines

Another, more widespread power outage has been reported in St. Catharines this evening (Apr. 15).

Alectra is reporting that approximately 3,015 homes and businesses are without power in the area of Linwell Rd to Welland Ave and from Ontario St to the QEW.

The cause of the outage is reported to be weather-related.

Power is estimated to return by 11:30 p.m. this evening.
