Let’s face it – we’ll all be driving electric vehicles some day and that day is going to come sooner rather than later.

To that end, eight sponsors are coming together for CAA Niagara’s first ever Electric Vehicle (EV) Showcase at the Pen Centre in St. Catharines on May 27 and 28.

The free event will feature three separate parts: an Exhibitor Fair, Expert Panel and EVs & Espresso morning mingle.

Starting with the Exhibitor Fair running 10 am to 5 pm both days, there will be EV vendors and experts onsite, showcasing their products and services, providing demonstrations, and sharing their knowledge on e-mobility.

Said CAA Niagara, “EV owners and EV-curious people alike are invited to bring the whole family by to enjoy the EV Explorers Hub, with kids’ activities hosted by Heartland Forest. The event will also feature test drives from Plug N’ Drive and Tesla (first come, first served), giving attendees the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the latest electric vehicles on the market.”

They are promising “tons of exciting vehicles will be on display both days, including a Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo.”

Also on May 27 from 10 am to noon inside Theatre #8 at the Landmark Cinemas, there will be a special EV panel inside Landmark Cinemas with presentations from four different industry experts sharing their knowledge on electric vehicles, charging and the future of e-mobility.

The panelist lineup includes:

  • Stephen Bieda, President of the Golden Horseshoe EV Society & Regional Sales Manager for Shell e-Mobility
  • Adam Smith, Residential Field Team Lead for Kraun Electric
  • Kristine D’Arbelles, Senior Director of Public Affairs for CAA National
  • Mary Mallin, Manager of Events & Logistics for Plug ‘N Drive

And finally on May 28 from 8 to 10 am is the EVs & Espresso social event.

“On Sunday morning, electric car owners in the community will have the chance to come and show off their vehicles. Attendees can enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee while checking out the different EVs on display and networking with other enthusiasts.”
