Church break-in in Niagara Region under investigation

Police in the Niagara Region are asking for the public’s help in identifying a break-and-enter suspect in the Grimsby area.
Niagara Regional Police Services (NRPS) posted a security camera image today (Oct. 24) alongside descriptive materials concerning a male suspect who allegedly broke several windows and doors at the Lakemount Worship Centre near Grimsby.
According to police, the incident occurred last month on Sept. 24 and resulted in damages to the facility upwards of $5000.

At the time of the incident, the suspect was seen using an electric scooter and left his clothing behind after taking a set of new clothes from the church’s donation boxes.
According to the NRSP report, the suspect is a white male, roughly 5’10 with a slender build and short brown hair.
He also has a number of tattoos covering both arms and hands.
Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect to contact NRPS directly or reach out to Crime Stoppers.
