Police believe one man responsible for six separate Lincoln break-ins

Last night (May 31), six different Lincoln houses were broken into and Niagara Police believe it’s the work of one man.
Police came to the John S., Dennis Ave. and Arejay Ave. area in Beamsville after reports that a make suspect had made his way into six different homes while the owners were asleep. In each case, he was able to enter through an unlocked door.
He stole electronics, cash, tools, alcohol, vehicle keys, wallets and purses with police estimating his total haul “will likely exceed $20,000.”
In one John St. home, the owner woke up while he was still inside and she startled him enough that he took off on foot eastbound towards Bartlett St.
Police brought in the K9 Unit and conducted an extensive search for the suspect but he wasn’t found.
The suspect (see photos above and below) is described as a white male, skinny to medium build, approximately 5-foot-10 to 6 foot. He was wearing black pants, bright blue running shoes, work/carpenter gloves and a beige construction hoodie with “DeWalt” in black print across chest as seen in the photo.
Police say he caused little to no damage to the homes and targeted homes where the yard gates and exterior doors were left unlocked.
Police added that the public should make sure their homes, property, and vehicles are locked and secure every night.
They added, “The quantity of items stolen also suggests the suspect had a vehicle nearby to store stolen property and to flee the area.”
Anyone who may have information about this incident, or the suspect is asked to contact detectives by calling 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009935.
