The Niagara Police are on the hunt for three men possibly looking to steal valuables from unlocked cars in the Grimsby and Lincoln areas. What’s even more concerning to them is that they believe one of the men could be armed.
On July 18, police responded to a home on Frances Cres. in Lincoln where the owner saw a suspect holding what he believed was a firearm near cars in driveways. Police strongly believe he was looking to loot unlocked cars.
On July 20, police were called to a home on Lampman Dr. in Grimsby where the owners has also reviewed their overnight footage, and saw two suspects, one of whom was holding what appeared to be a firearm.
That footage confirmed the suspects were entering unlocked parked vehicles, looking for valuables.
Suspect One is described as male, wearing a balaclava with a visible reflective emblem over the left brow, a light-coloured hooded sweatshirt, dark cargo pants with detailing around the pockets on each leg, a cross-body satchel, and dark shoes.
Suspect Two is described as male, wearing a balaclava and neck covering, a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, and white shoes.
Suspect Three is described as male, wearing a balaclava and neck covering, a camo-colored jacket or hooded sweatshirt, a cross body light coloured satchel, and dark shoes.
Despite the locations being 16 km apart, police believe it’s the same suspects in both cases. Police have no idea how the suspects are travelling around at this time.
However, since one might have a firearm, homeowners should hot approach them and instead dial 9-1-1 immediately.
Residents in the Frances Cres. and Crown St. area of Lincoln and the Lampman Dr. area of Grimsby who have exterior surveillance capabilities are encouraged to review their footage and contact the lead detective by dialing 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009386 with any relevant information.
