A group of thieves decided that rather than walk a mile in a man’s shoes, it would be easier to just steal them.
The Niagara Police were called to a Niagara Falls home on June 25 at 10 pm where they learned that the victim and a friend were simply hanging at Mount Carmel Park (7806 Mount Carmel Blvd) in Niagara Falls at 8:30 pm.
They discovered that the pair were approached by two teenage boys and two teenage girls when one of the males demanded his Nike Air Force Ones sneakers at the threat of being beaten up.
The victim refused and one of the boys made good on the threat, allegedly punching and kicking him, causing minor injuries. The shoes were pulled off his feet and all four suspects took off.
Police are only describing the male suspects, saying Suspect One is a white male with light coloured hair, 5-foot-8, 13 to 18 years old with a thin build, narrow facial features, wearing a sweatshirt with his hood pulled up, long pants, and also wearing Air Force One shoes.
Suspect Two is a white male with dark coloured longer hair, 5-foot-8, 13 to 18 years old with a heavier build, wearing a sweater and long pants with his hood pulled up.
The identity of the four suspects was not known to the victim or his friend.
