Niagara Police are on the lookout for an armed man who robbed a West Lincoln pharmacy yesterday (August 1).

At 2:45 pm, police responded to a call from the pharmacy on St. Catharines St. near South St. and learned that the man came into the store by himself, holding a handgun.

He demanded narcotics from the pharmacist, who was not hurt in the incident, and once he had them, he took off. A witness saw him get into the passenger side of an awaiting black-colored four-door sedan that was parked on South St.

The vehicle took off and was last seen heading south on South St. before turning west on Mill St.

The suspect (photos below) is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years old, 5-foot-10, slim to medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black knee-length shorts, and black running shoes with his face mostly covered by a blue surgical mask.

Area residences and local businesses are encouraged to review their surveillance footage and contact the lead detective by dialing 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009528 with any relevant information.
